James "Jim" Garrett, Jr. VIEW PROFILE

James Jim Garrett, Jr.

JAMES W. GARRETT JR. DEPARTED THIS LIFE on November 20, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at home following his courageous battle with cancer.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 101st Airborne during Vietnam.  He spent the majority of his working career as a talented salesman in the Telecommunications industry. He enjoyed being an active member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church especially serving at places like the Potter's House.  Jim felt blessed to be part of such a loving Christian family.  He loved spending time with his family, rooting for his Chicago Bears, and finishing the paper's Sudoku and crosswords. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Martha, and children Scott Moseley, Jonathon Garrett (Maria), and Katie Garrett Williamson (Craig).  A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 23rd at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church in Greensboro, NC. The service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Lauren Anderson and Rev. Leon Morrow. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be given to Hickory Grove United Methodist Church marked Prayer Garden Project.
