C. Lee Parrish, Jr.

The Rev. Calvin Lee Parrish, Jr. of 153 Confederate Ave., Danville died Thursday, February 9, 1984, in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Durham, NC.  He had been in declining health for the past three months.  Born in Lynchburg December 21, 1948, he was a son of Calvin L. Parrish and Marjorie Logwood Parrish, both of Lynchburg.  He was a pastor of West End Christian Church, Danville, a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY.  He was a member of Danville Ministerial Association and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sally Mathews Parrish; two sons, Jeremy Lee Parrish and Steven Thomas Parrish; and one daughter, Jacqueline Marie Parrish, all of Danville; one brother, Kendall Parrish, and two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Whitaker and Mrs. Barbara Horton, all of Lynchburg.  A funeral service will be conducted on February 11, 1984 at 2 p.m. from Townes Funeral Home chapel, 215 W. Main St., by the Revs. Jim Burton, Jack Austin and Buddy Westbrook.  Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg.  The family is at the residence.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Association for Brain Tumor Research, 6232 N.
