Benjamin Edward Horsley Sr. (Butch), age 76, of Lynchburg passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home after a long illness.  Benjamin, born in Lynchburg, was the son of the late Bertrand A. Horsley and Lucille Sterne Horsley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Almond, a daughter in law, Windi Horsley, and a grandson, Joshua Horsley.  He is survived by his wife Cheryl Hammock Horsley, his sons Benjamin Horsley, Jr. and Bertand Horsley (Candi),a daugther Elizabeth Horsley, a brother Fred Horsley (Sue). many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a retired LPD officer .

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at the old santcuary (Pate Chapel) at 701 Thomas Rd.
