Dorothea Dale Parker Godsie, 64, wife of Norvell "Ike" Godsie, and mother to Jessica D. Godsie Sawyers and Kelley B. Godsie, walked into Heaven Sunday, September 14, 2014, from Augusta Health, Fishersville.  She was born September 19, 1949, in Lynchburg. After a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, our hero and loving mom is finally able to walk with joy.  Norvell "Ike" Godsie has been her sweetheart for 48 years.  Her mother, Louise Sawyer, her sister, Pat Pribble, and her brother, Lee Luther and wife also continue to pray for a cure for M.S.  The joy of her life was her grandchildren, Cody Berry, Erin Lee, Logan Berry, Jonah Sawyers, and Donovan Luders.  Her beloved sister, Velma Sparrow also walks with her.  The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014, in the Henry Funeral Home.  We will also welcome close friends and family at 303 Audubon Street, Staunton, anytime.  Please make memorial contributions to the Blue Ridge Chapter Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Morton Drive, Suite 106, Charlottesville, VA 22903, and please continue to pray for a cure for M.S.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.henryfuneralhome.net.
