Mt. Pleasant, SC – Donna Marie McCormick Goss, 62, daughter of Imelda Chancey, died Sunday, May 1, 2011.  Donna was born on November 30, 1948 in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of Imelda Chancey and the late John Andrew McCormick.  She graduated from E. C. Glass High School, Lynchburg, VA and attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.  She moved to Isle of Palms, SC in 1979, where she worked for the Port Authority for many years, followed by a position at OOCL where she worked until she became ill.  Survivors include one daughter, Yvette Marie Hall and her husband Sean Barnes of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her mother, Imelda Chancey of Lynchburg, VA; two sisters, Shelia M. Gurr of Merritt Island, FL and Pamela M. Hawes of Waynesboro, VA; Dr. Roger Tinnell of Ibiza, Spain; and her beloved granddaughter who was the light of her life, Sophia Marie Barnes.  She is preceded in death by her sister, Wanda M. Brown.  A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, in the chapel of McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1520 Rifle Range Road, Mt.
