Sheila Stevens (Perry)

Sheila Stevens Perry, 60, of Rustburg passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at her residence.  She was the loving wife of Clinton DeWitt Perry, Jr. for thirteen years.  Born in Lynchburg on July 30, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Rose Stevens.  Sheila graduated from E.C. Glass High School in 1967 and attended Central Virginia Community College.  She worked for Ericson and attended Hyland Heights Baptist Church.  In addition to her husband, Clinton, she leaves to cherish her memory, her son and daughter, Greg Brizendine and his wife Angela, and Paula Bullock and her husband James; a brother and two sisters, J. A. Stevens, Deborah Johnson, and Sue Blankenship and her husband Gary; her grandchildren, Matthew and Bethany Brizendine and Tripp and Taylor Bullock; and several nieces and nephews.  Sheila is preceded in death by her special collie, Huggs.  Sheila loved Christmas, dancing the shag, boating on Smith Mountain Lake, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  A celebration of her life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, by the Rev. Danny Smith.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Service and Crematory, 427 Graves Mill Road, (434) 239-2405, is assisting her family.
