Joan Marie (Casebolt) Young (1947 - 2011)

Joan Marie Thornhill Young, 64, of Goode, Va., passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2011.  Born Sept. 22, 1947, in Lynchburg, Va., she was the daughter of Beatrice Casebolt of Forest and the late Russell Casebolt.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Tracy R. Young Jr.; three children and two step-children: Rusty Thornhill and wife Katherine of Austin, Texas, Cindy Thornhill of Jacksonville, Fla., Deborah Blevins of Copperas Cove, Texas, Tracy Young III, and Sheri Cramblitt and husband Larry of Baltimore, Md..; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter; and a beloved aunt, Inez Burnette of Chatham, Va.  The family would like to thank Rev. Virgil Knipp and Rev. Sue Knipp of Memorial Christian Church in Lynchburg, Va.; Dr. Hinkle of Forest Family Physicians, and the staff at Centra Hospice, especially her special nurse Crystal.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 3305 Naval Reserve Road, Lynchburg, VA 24501.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Lynn-Lymanville Community Church, Springville, Wy. with the Rev.
