Terrell “Terry” Lee Gravely, Sr., 68, of Lynchburg, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015.  He is survived by his wife, Kay Gravely; his son, Terrell Lee Gravely, Jr.; his daughter, Julie O’dell Gravely; and brother, James Morton Gravely (Carey).  Also surviving are Lauren Taylor Wright, Alexis O’dell Gravely, Emily Nicole Moore, Philip R. Marshall, Allison Wyatt Gravely, James Morton Gravely, Jr. (Shea), Meredith Scott Gravely, and Helen Vassar Gravely.  Born on December 1, 1946, he was a son of the late Joseph Morton and Dorothy Justis Gravely. He honorably served our country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and was the owner of Gravely Oil Company in Lynchburg. He was an avid pilot and flew professionally for many years.  The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2015. A private interment will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing to make memorial contributions to consider the Lynchburg Toy Run, 150 Linden Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24503, or the Lynchburg Food Bank, 501 North 12th Street, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
