I finally completed my Trilogy based on our hometown so I am going to quit while I am ahead.
My last book has some funny stories about the Glass Ring Dance and my first date. You will recognize many of the places and people.

I was asked where to find my work so I thought I would share the following:

1. Amazon sells all formats, especially if you want hardcover editions. They own the rights to the hardcover editions.

2. Locally, you can find my books at the Gift Shop at Lynchburg General Hospital- 434-200-3139.. The proceeds are used to fund many important and worthwhile projects for the hospital.

3. Buy the books directly from the author. They are cheaper than Amazon since I pay the taxes and delivery fees. I also sign each book personally if you wish. We also mail signed copies out as birthday and Christmas gifts from you.

Autographed Prices:
- Set of all three books in the trilogy: $39
- Choice of two books: $30
- Choice of one book: $15

Just message me on Facebook:
•   What books do you wish to purchase
•   Where you would like your books shipped
•   If you want the book signed, and to whom.

We use PayPal invoicing, and they take all forms of credit cards and are very secure, and why I use them. They don't share your information with anyone. You also don't have a Pay Pal account. You can also send a check in the mail to my home address on your invoice.

If you live in Lynchburg, I may deliver your purchase personally, so please don't call the police if you see a black Ridgeline truck hanging around your mailbox!

I am pleased to announce the general Amazon release of my new book, A Few More Pieces Found.
In the third and final book in my Life Is a Puzzle short story series, my latest tales span from my first date to our Junior/Senior Ring Dance as I explore my life—one tale, one memory, and one awful Christmas present at a time.
You can find hardcover, paperback, and e-reader editions available on Amazon.
For the readers that would like an autographed edition, just email me for information:
Enjoy A Few More Pieces Found. I hope it makes you laugh, smile, and remember. Regards, Preston

Birthday Reflections of a 72-year-old...
As I sit and listen to the Rolling Stones, Zac Brown, Credence Clearwater, Van Morrison, and Tom Petty on my birthday, I wonder how in the heck did I get this old since I am now older than dirt. The good news is I also realize that I am still standing, and I have a few more dance moves left. They may not be as graceful as they once were, but I am still moving, so criticism be damned. I just hope that I don't break something or hurt my back.
People think we get wiser as we get older, based on our total life experiences. They believe old age is the price we pay for this wisdom. This belief is a complete misconception. In my experience, I am not wiser or more intelligent. I didn't get smarter as I got older—I just ran out of stupid things to do.
Mark Twain once wrote, "Before seventy, we are merely respected, at best, and we have to behave all the time, or we lose that asset; but after seventy we are respected, esteemed, admired, revered, and don't have to behave at all unless we want to." I find this advice strangely appropriate for my birthday.
So, the birthday message to my friends—life should be lived and celebrated. I still have alligators to wrestle, swamps to drain, damsels to save, dragons to slay, windmills to attack, my third book to publish, and my family's honor to protect.
Thank you for your birthday wishes. Please feel free to bust a move in honor of my birthday and for the sheer joy of being alive—just don't hurt yourself...

Hi Clasmates:
The Lynchburg boy is back. My new book, Still Looking for Pieces to Life’s Puzzle, just released in time for some fun summer and beach reading.

Picking up where Life Is a Puzzle with a Few Missing Pieces left off, my new book offers thirty more humorous short stories from my teen years through adulthood. My new stories cover topics like navigating family, friends, life, college, career, and retirement. I also share some crazy memories of cherry-bombed bathrooms, Sputnik, my military career, exploding outhouses, critters, Bigfoot, white-water rafting rescues, Incredible Hulk transformations, unlikely golf championships, DIY disasters, and my attempt to become a mountain man.

You can find both the paperback and e-reader editions are available on Amazon:

For the readers that would like a signed copy, the books will be available after June 15. Both books in the Life is a Puzzle series will be available with a special price for ordering both books. I am also offering PayPal and accept all major credit cards. It only took me two years to figure out how to do this! Please email me: if you are interested in this option. I will add you to my list when I receive my first edition inventory. I would be honored to sign for you. Buy all you want; we will print more!

Please enjoy Still Looking for Pieces to Life’s Puzzle. I hope it makes you laugh, smile, and remember our hometown. Also please share the news with all your friends. Thanks for your support!

Cindy, it's shameful what the kids are not taught today. a lot of American history is not taught. .Kids come out of school with more liberal ideas and I doubt if very many have evan read the constitution.

Hello Classmates,

I am pleased to announce Amazon officially released my book “Life is a Puzzle with a Few Missing Pieces” in paperback and e-reader versions. The book location is based on Lynchburg and you will recognize many of the people, streets, and places that are in my stories.
You can find it by using this link:
As promised, the book does not solve world hunger, achieve world peace, or help define the meaning of life. The objectives of my stories are very simple. I hope the book will make you laugh, to smile, and to reflect on our past and present.
Thanks for being part of my memories.
