Stephen "Steve" Kious passed away May 21, 2016 at Florida Hospital from a stroke. Originally from Liverpool, New York he was the son of the late Gerald and Vida Kious. After graduating from the University of Kansas he married his college sweetheart and they would have celebrated their 45th anniversary in July. A resident of the area since 1979 he opened his own computer consulting and networking business in 1990. He retired in 2012 to travel and pursue numerous hobbies. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Kious, son, Jeffrey Kious, and sister, Pamela Kious Hubbard. His family will receive friends Saturday May 28th at the Haigh-Black Funeral Home in Ormond Beach from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. His remains will be transferred to Parsons, Kansas for burial with his extended family. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children , 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
